There has never been a time in history since the early 18th century, with the first known apothecary established by Christopher Marshall in Philadelphia in 1729 that the profession of pharmacy is going through a more dramatic transformation than right now. If you have the chance to meet up with people who are excited and innovative about pharmacy --make time to meet up!

Pharmacists & people in Pharmacy must actively support their state pharmacy organizations because that’s where the real advocacy work happens. State associations are on the front lines fighting for provider status, fair reimbursement, scope-of-practice expansion, and protections against harmful legislation and PBM practices. They represent pharmacy in statehouses, regulatory boards, and policy discussions that directly impact daily practice.

Without strong membership and engagement, the profession loses influence at the very level where many critical decisions are made. Supporting your state organization isn’t just about networking — it’s about protecting your license, your livelihood, and the future of pharmacy in your community.

Some of the best in pharmacy in the great State of Pennsylvania inside academia, Joni Carroll, PharmD, TTS Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy and Robert Maher Jr. independent community pharmacy, health-system leadership from Jefferson Health Pharmacist Darren Mensch, PharmD, BCPS, BCACP and long-term care pharmacy expertise from Deborah Milito with Diamond Pharmacy Services Long-Term Care Division.

The Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association is gathering #TogetheRx the best in Pharmacy Care in the state to network, learn through, and strategize how we build the best pharmacy has to offer in the nation? GAME ON!!
